|
First, we talk. |
 |
| |
We ask lots of questions. This
is your new home, and we want to understand your
vision, your expectations, your budget—what's
important to you.
If you have a lot, we can inspect it with you, pointing
out potential house placements and any cost concerns.
We also have lots that may suit your needs. |
 |
|
We help you design your new
home. |
 |
| |
Maybe you already have a design.
That's great! We will work with you to make those
important decisions about materials, colors, and
modifications. With our decades of home-building
experience, we can alert you to potential problems,
and tell you how we have worked with other homeowners
to solve them. Don't have a design? We can show
you our McGraw Lock models or help you select a
design from our extensive library. |
 |
|
We put it in writing.
|
 |
| |
We prepare a detailed list
of specifications and pricing for you, based on
your decisions about your new home. |
 |
|
We talk again. |
 |
| |
We go over the specifications
and costs with you, and we keep making changes until
you are comfortable with the proposal—and
we are satisfied it will work for your needs. We
will ask for assurance that you can finance construction
of your home. |
 |
|
Only then do we move to the
contract stage. |
 |
| |
By this time, we are both comfortable
that we have developed the best possible plan to
meet your lifestyle requirements within the budget
you have set. Once we've agreed to the plans and
specifications, we execute a contract that clearly
spells out our responsibilities and yours. Clear
up front understanding and expectations lead to
satisfaction with the final product. |
 |
|
And we work with your lender. |
 |
| |
We will talk with your lender
to answer any questions they might have and get
them any information they might need to process
and close on your construction loan. We will agree
on an acceptable draw (or payment) schedule. |
 |
|
Then, we build. |
 |
| |
We understand that you want
to stay involved and informed as work progresses
on your new home. So we do. First, we meet with
you at your lot to mark your home’s placement.
We offer periodic walk-through inspections during
the approximately four months it will take to build
your home. We have created an individual web page
for your home, so you can check on progress at your
convenience. |
 |
|
You do a final walk-through.
|
 |
| |
During the final walk-through,
we create a checklist, called a "punch list,"
of any details that still need to be addressed.
We introduce you to your house and explain how to
operate and maintain it. |
 |
|
We confirm completion of the
work on the "punch list." |
 |
| |
Only then do you make your
final payment, and construction is complete. |
 |
|
You move into your new home.
|
 |
| |
We've been building homes in
Central Pennsylvania for decades, and we're not
going anywhere. We follow up with you after you
have moved in—to fine-tune your home and,
if there are any problems, to fix them as quickly
as possible. |
 |
|
We stay in touch. |
 |
|
We contact you
after 30 days, 6 months, and 11 months to re-inspect
for any problems. Our homes come with a standard
10-year RWC Warranty. |
